Techniques in groundwater modeling and operations research are combined to create a tool chest for groundwater professionals. 

The basic idea is to facilitate the discovery of the cheapest solution to a groundwater challenge using interactive computer-based decision support techniques. Via the ability to consider hundreds of constraints simultaneously, solutions are realized that otherwise would not be possible. 

Some of the computer algorithms developed here are supported by graphics application software through a user-friendly interface. Currently, the following algorithms are available (public domain): 

• MODOFC: computer software for optimal groundwater management
• NAPL Simulator: simulation of soil contamination by Non-Aqueous Phase Liquids (NAPL)
